Will I Ever Finish This Book? 11/12/2007 8:29:18 PM
Ugh, why is it every time I get close enough to see the end of a book I get stuck? WEll, I've rewritten the same bleeping paragraph about four or five times now. I was on a roll, then my characters had their little sweet love scene , the end is near, the $#!% is about to hit the fan and then everything will be resolved and I can lead my characters into their happily ever after, but I just can't get to it!
I always do this.
I get to where I know the end, I'm so close I can taste it... I got the final scenes down but I just can't seem to get to them.
Then one day out of the blue it'll hit me what I need to do and the story is better for it but dang I hate waiting for that moment of inspiration. I want this book done!
I'm finishing up on a romantic suspense and I think that's part of the problem.
I'm itching to get back to my paranormals.
Paranormals are easier. I can make my own rules. Stories with normal people have boundaries. Boundaries tend to slow me down.
It's a great story though and I do love romantic suspense -- I think paranormals just tend to flow easier for me.
And I think I'm getting impatient because I've got all these ideas for new stories, some paranormal romances, the third in my vamp series of course, a thriller and maybe even a straight out horror novel.
I love my characters in TFSB but I'm ready for them to resolve their issues, move on and get out of my way.
