NaNoWriMo -- starting to wonder why I'm doing this.... 11/8/2006 6:36:02 AM
Thought this particular story would be easy... OK, so it's like Day 8 of NaNoWriMo and I'm already wanting to throw in the towel. The idea of writing a 50000 word manuscript in only 30 days was pretty cool and I was sucked in by the challenge, not to mention I'd already told myself I would be completing 3 manuscripts this year. So far, here's my progress:
PBD - completed
DBD- 29187 words (goal: 70-100,000) which puts me at either 42% or 29% finished.
TFSB- 15635 words (goal: 60-65000) which puts me at 26-24% finished.
LSAYD (my NaNoWriMo project)-11091 words (goal for NaNo is 50000, although I may contine further after Nano) 22% of goal met.
And I want 2 more of these completed by Dec 31st....
Maybe I should have become an "honorary NaNo-er and just used this time to finish up DBD, then finish up TFSB in December.
Then, LSAYD can be my first writing project for 2007.
Then again, maybe I wouldn't feel this way if I could kick this hellacious cough. (My grand total of sleep over the course of the past 4 days : 11 hours. Oh yeah, I'm moody right now.)
