checking in so everyone knows I'm still here... Ahhh, let's see....what's happened since my last check-in?
1) Finished TFSB in December. yay!
2) Got a response from Imajinn Books after reviewing my requested partial of Passion Be Damned... was advised to make some specific revisions to make the story "darker" and slow the pace of the romance and then submit the full manuscript which I did.
3) Got started on 3rd book in my vamp series. I think I'm titling the series "The Blood Revelation series" I still don't have a working title for book 3 so it is currently simply known as "Blood Rev Book 3"
4) Entered 1st chapters of PBD and TFSB in a contest. Results back in mid-April I think.
5)Have made a list of publishers currently seeking submissions for anthologies. I figured what the hell? I'll dabble in shorter stories while simultaneously working on my novels. That way I'm getting more out there more often. I'm currently working on a submission for a werewolf anthology. Although I've never been a huge fan of the werewolf genre ( don't ask me why, I love all other shifters, and my favorite animal is the wolf but for some reason I don't care much for werewolves.Hmmm... maybe it's because of the way they're portrayed in movies or Laurell K Hamilton's books....kinda gross.) Anyway, never been a big fan before but I'm having fun with this story and of course I LOVE my wolf. She's pretty awesome. And her love interest is one F.I.N.E. - A.S.S. man, let me tell ya. Ah, the men I can create in my mind... .
So to sum up.... I'm working on Blood Rev book #3 along with a werewolf short story (tentively titled Night Heat)while ideas and scenes for a contemporary romance flow through my mind. I guess that means I'm kinda working on 3 at one time. I have PBD currently being reviewed by a publisher (and hoping like hell she loves it) and a section from two different manuscripts entered into a contest.
All while holding down a normal job, decorating cakes (check out my cakecentral.com page--I've done some cute ones this year!) and doing the Home Interiors. Whew. Hopefully I'll be published soon and have enough books out there to generate an income decent enough to allow me to write solely. Then I'd possibly have the time to finish LSAYD. That poor story, I swear.... Scenes and cute bits of dialogue between Rider & Danni keep popping into my head but I've just got too many balls up in the air already. (Oh, did I mention I've already got the sequel to LSAYD in mind? I know. I'm incorrigible.)
