Well, we did it. We moved away from the Mouse and are now closer to the coast. Oh, I do love it here. It's a nice small town, where the people are friendly and rush hour traffic doesn't exist. woohoo
We moved a few months back, purchasing a handyman special. In the last forever months, we have renovated or repaired every room in this house. From holes in walls to tearing up the carpet and putting wood floors down. From replacing a few windows, both bathrooms and stripping the kitchen, moving walls, etc. Putting in new air ducts and replacing the well pump ...
For a while there, I was irritating my husband to no end by referring to the house as the garbage can. We haven't stopped but the inside of the house is done; the weather is warming up and now I joyfully (no sarcasm -- honest -- well, sort of) am starting on the exterior of the house and yard.
Oh, and please, next time I mention buying a handyman special, remind me that I don't ever want to do this again.
