Conservation and preservation of historic sites in the United States is a constant battle against money hungry developers. Below is a post I received about one such endangered site, General Anthony Wayne's training camp (1792). You’re not being asked to donate money just print a letter to the governor of Pennsylvania and mail it. There are 17 U.S. Soldiers buried on that site, remember they were there for you before you were even born to ensure that you were free. Now they need you to protect their final resting places. Hello all. I'm writing to ask for your help. I'm a member of the Legion Ville Historical Society. We are currently involved in a struggle to preserve General Anthony Wayne's training camp (1792) that was located near Ambidge Pa. ( 26 miles south of Pittsburgh) The site is about to be paved over to make a new car lot. Not only will the camp be destroyed but 17 U.S. soldiers graves will be covered.
