When the refrigerator goes Kapooey...eat ice cream! 3/9/2007 5:43:34 AM
Okay, I'm a writer, but I really don't know how kapooey is spelled or even if it's a word and I'm too lazy to look it up... But my refrigerator did get sick and here's the tale.
It started with the ice cream I bought. Yeah, I should have given it ice cream after it puked, not before. Anyways, the freezer was crapping ice and not from the ice maker. The whole inside began freezing up like one of those antique ones I don't want to remember, so let's not go there.
We rescued the ice cream by standing at the door of the freezer and gobbling 2 boxes of Oreo ice cream sandwiches and Nestles crunch ice cream sticks. I know, that was so sad .
Moving on... The refrigerator is less than a year old, that means warranty. However, my brother stops around and decides he wants to tinker with it. He takes it apart, removes a gizmo and says he'll get another. Comes back next day and says there's nothing wrong with the gizmo (techinal term = heating element).
I call for repairman and I fear the repairman will notice the pecker tracks (my brother's phrase). Thus voiding warranty.
Repairman cometh today, if he noticed the dings in the metal and the cut straps around the wires, he didn't say or didn't notice. Of course it helped that the problem wasn't in that neighborhood. It was the circitboard not telling the freezer to defrost.
Now we wait 10 days for the part. That really bites, I don't have anything to cook for dinner. I'm forced to get McDonald's, Captain D's, Hardee's, Dairy Queen...ummm...things are looking up. Maybe I can sabatoge the freezer repair next week. I got a whole month left on that warranty.
