Rodeo, Writing & SURVIVOR! 3/9/2007 5:44:09 AM
My family went to the rodeo last night. I should have gone, but I had so many darn things to do including finishing a short story I was dying to get out of my computer.
Alone time in the house is awesome. I cranked out more words in those few hours than I did all day. It didn’t help I was playing around with re-coloring my website.
As for the rodeo, I haven’t heard highlights, except for a bull rider was gored and was pretty tore up. That’s a dangerous sport and I hope the bull rider will recover okay.
While working on my story, I watched SURVIVOR. I’ve seen every episode of every season and if they went to a daily show, I’d be forever glued to the TV. I don’t know what it is about that show that has me engrossed from week to week, aside from sexy Jeff Probst. He gets cuter every year and I wish he was on the show more, but then maybe it’s good he wasn’t around much. I might get bored with him.
Last night’s episode was more interesting than some. This season with the rich tribe and the poor tribe makes it less like surviving for half the players and the whole show comes off a lot more like a game show with all those prizes. I liked the seasons where people were starving; rain took out their camp and all that other disastrous stuff, giving them a real challenge.
I do feel sorry for that sorry-assed poor tribe that can’t win a thing to save their asses. Best news is that the rich ones are getting lazy and stupid. They’ve alienated two members of their tribe and I can’t wait to see those people flip when there’s a merge...provided they make it that long in the game.
