God works in mysterious ways! Those words opened a whole healing process for me
today as I realized I did not have to take on the
emotional stress of standing up for myself.
Sometimes we think it isn't quite spiritual enough
to stand up and say NO! to someone who is walking
all over us. We can be an instrument of growth to
another through standing tall in ourselves.
I came rather late to the use and enjoyment of the world of computers. I have learned to navigate and enjoy the worldwide web of people that post to the many sites with the same interests. It is a fun and I have found, a useful tool for my interests and activities.
It can also be an abusive tool. Those that do not agree with your methods and/or life and have been disgruntled with their part in organizations that you hold dear, can certainly find many places to put in a bad word. Especially when those people have more talent with the computer. So many places, so much time on their hands.
In the beginning of the confrontational situation that existed, and trying to find spiritual focus for situations of this nature, I found what worked for me. A reading I found concerning communication entitled: "I Need Someone to Talk With" from a wonderful book by a friend, Elizabeth Harris, entitled Spiritualism...A Way of Life.
It spoke of how if we expect to have a relationship we need to communicate. (My thought...not behind a computer screen where words can be so easily misunderstood, but in person) And the relationship mentioned was the one we all need to strengthen with the Higher Power we name God. Prayer is an important and necessary part of spirituality. Keeping lines of communication open are one of the most important things we do in relationships. The one with God is just as important and maybe more so.
