What is Prosperity? 3/4/2007 8:20:11 AM
Are we examining our lives for the truth of prosperity? Or are we accepting only the law of attraction of money?
What is the value of prosperity in our life and its many aspects and affairs?
There is a problem endemic in Spiritualism at present. The organizations are seeking to have 'more' and have not quite focused themselves on the true meaning of prosperity. They seek to change to gain more people. They seek to change to accumulate more wealth. And yet....
The detractors who do not see prosperity for all, but focus on individual aggrandisement are worrying the small stuff so much, they are missing the big picture. It is not about education, it is about knowing spirit. It is not about individual education, it is about the knowledge and the willingness to aid others in their search.
The following is taken from another (care2) group discussing money and its value. It spoke to me of our lack of understanding of what prosperity is and how we can gain this prosperity by letting it flow into our lives...as Spriitualism as well as individuals.
"And for those who have money but never want to give, the balance in their bank book or account is not the measure of their abundance. Abundance is what's circulating through our lifes. Properity is a flow - giving and receiving. If we have a fortune in Swiss deposits, and we're not using it for good, then it's not enriching us. Technically, yes, it's ours, but in reality we're "receiving" nothing from it. It's not making us abundant and it might as well belong to someone else. So the principle of give and receive holds, even here.
There are also people who will say, "I've given all my life, and got nothing back." But perhaps they were not really giving, but rather were measuring, and there's a difference.
The trick to giving is to sincerely give without sincerely wanting anything back. If we expect something back, then we are attached to a result - and when we are attached, less happens. So, can we enjoy our material possessions? Of course we can! Just make sure you own them, and they don't own you..."
And a broader scope to what is spirituality would go a long way to opening the mind and heart of those stuck on their own petty grievances instead of moving forward.
