What is the New Age?
What does it offer in Development?
Is there spirituality?
Does it truly depend upon where you are finding answers? NEW AGE
This is the label under which so much is being placed in current information gathering. The internet has opened many doors to information...the good, the bad, the ugly are all available. Anyone can open a blog or website and spout any information...reasoned, accurate, or just plain any new idea.
It is certainly a buyer beware market for information on many topics, but the occult, paranormal, metaphysical has taken so many twists and turns. It is addressed by both the intelligent and the neophite. Anything can sound reasonable if a good spin is put on the knowledge.
Another interesting twist is how people choose to use and abuse the organizations. Many centres and groups put their time, money, energy into development of a place for good, clean information and knowledge, only to be abused by those that do not want to be joiners. There are those who think religion is a dirty word. They dismiss any effort at spirituality in the name of freedom of thought. But when they take what organizations have to offer and return nothing, not even loyalty it is abuse of the privileges they have been given.
Its too bad they don't even have the sense to realize they are not the first generation to be disenchanted with religion. They are not a part of the knowledge of changes (from within) they are too busy abusing by their lack of responsibility to self and anyone who aids their journey. In the 1800s many disenchanted religious people sailed from Europe to North America, fleeing abuses of their spirituality by the churches. They came with all their mix of feelings and information on the spirituality subject. They formed new and prosperous groups that have survived because they are valid options.
These are some of the organizations that those new age thinkers of today, in their me-generation thinking, are dismissing as invalid. They came out of discontent in the past, they grew in strength, and will continue long after the current flow has run its course. The reason is that they have a message to offer. They welcome the loyal and the dis-loyal to their doors and enough of the former will support the latter.
Even when those who abuse their privileges learn and take their message elsewhere for their own ego gratification, the original group will continue and thrive. It is when anyone thinks they have the answers as these egos do, that it will die a natural death. The natural law of cause and effect will work whether it is understood or recognized or not.
Where does the neophite truly gain knowledge? That is personal responsibility to their own journey. What do they want to do with that knowledge? Is it selfish for personal aggrandisement or is it available to help others in service? Watch for the motivation to determine the integrity. Watch for the money value to see who is truly giving.
