Life: The Stories Behind Stories 6/18/2021 3:06:19 PM
Maddie Wharton Saldivar is, according to one reader, "unforgettable." Most of us are, to someone. But Maddie's stories resonate to many of us--because life is the story behind her stories. And ours. I never blog as often as I mean to. But I'm talking--and thinking a lot--about my latest release, Her Borrowed Angel.
This isn't the romance I've written before; it's 700 pages of stories, history, and life.
From growing up in rural, segregated Georgia to conquering her fears, then winding up in Texas, Mexico, and Texas again, Maddie grapples with truths we all face.
She develops her own, unique system for coping--and surrounds herself with horses and angels.
The funny thing about this work of my heart is that it was given to me by a five year old looking death in the face. Thankfully, she won that battle. But her story made me think of all the many battles we face--and win when we can.
Maddie's story may resonate with you for a long time--I hope so. I would be honored if you gave her life a chance to speak to yours.
