Finding things I'd forgotten about 12/2/2006 2:50:47 PM
Yesterday I posted my first work to AuthorsDen! I was very excited and couldn't keep it to myself. And then I couldn't keep from editing it. Luckily, no one could see it yet.
It was a poem, the one I'd just written about seeing 6 o'clock evey day and the wiating feeling manageable. It's on there now.
Since then, I have found writings that I had forgotten about. The poems, especially, surprise me - I forget that I sometimes write poetry, and how well it turns out, considering I am not a poet. In any case, I found stories, too.
And of course, there are the two that I've been working on most recently: Damn The Agents, and Dave's biography. Dave's biography counts as a story in that 1) I am writing creative nonfiction for his actual life story and 2) I am creating what you might call historical fiction for the parts I don't know. That's to keep me creating until I can learn more about his past.
Anyway, I just uploaded another poem - one I wrote a while ago about suddenly seeing myself from my ex's shoes. (We weren't exes at the time.) It was shocking and exhilarating and I spontaneously wrote "Fleeting Woman."
