I've been thinking about submitting my books for a professional review. On the one hand, it would give some exposure, although I don't know how much a review would influence people to buy the book. Who reads the review magazines, anyway? My thought all along is that the best review would be people telling their friends to read the book. At some point, you'd hit critical mass and sales would take off. How many people is that? That is the big question, and one I have not yet found the answer to.
It's about the time of year again to start working on this summer's addition to the series. The last two summers were consumed with other calls on my time and I haven't been able to add another book to the first three. I'd like to make this one a bit longer than the others, and perhaps a bit more biting. There is a theme that's been rolling around in my head ever since I completed Journey's End, but I have not yet figured the best way to incorporate it into the series. I may just end up writing a book that isn't part of the series, but will stand on its own. Hopefully, it will be finished by early autumn and out before the end of the year. In the meantime, I'm still thinking about ways to market the first three, including the submission for a review.
