Amazon sales 5/13/2005 5:06:12 PM
Trying a new promotional avenue-linking The Scent of Magic with Star Wars III on Amazon. It's hard to say how successful it is, although the sales rank changed from over 1 million all the way down to thirty four thousand. It jumps up during the night, then falls back down under one hundred thousand every morning. That means sales from somewhere overnight. I won't be able to get the sales figures until the end of the month, though, so I don't know yet if the whole thing was worth it.
Book four is complete, but I've decided it needs a major overhaul. The story just didn't flow the way I wanted it to, so the work I did already turned out to be a 580 page outline. I'll keep the basic plotline, but some of the characters need to be manipulated differently. I'll probably wait until school ends to begin on that. I was rushing to get it done in the hopes I could show it to my Dad, but now that he's gone, there isn't as much of a hurry. Lots of work for little return, but it's all part of the process.
