Things have started to pick up. I've been working on visualizing the books getting into people's hands faster and every day when I go to school somebody asks about them. One of the secretaries whose son read all three books wrote a letter to the paper praising the whole series. The librarian orderd four sets of the series, so that will help. One of the English teachers who read the book is using Rolf as a warm-up activity for her class and the kids are learning about the books to the point that several have stopped me in the hall to ask about them. I've agreed to visit the sixth grade English classes (I mean Language Arts-forgot the new title:) )because they have a fantasy unit. I'm doing mini-workshops on how to write a fantasy story. I am almost done with the brochure I'm putting together and the next step will be going to bookstores for talks. I am starting a monthly newletter to keep people up to date on what's going on with the books, and to explain something of the background-how I developed the characters, the process of writing, etc. This is going to be an important year, sales-wise, and I anticipate big things. It's exciting.
