Looking up for the anvil
I’ll try to be brief as to not bore you.
Sorry, Ms. Steinem, but I am not a feminist. I guess I’m a have your cake and eat it too.
Yes, I am woman. Yes, I like gentlemen…to a point. If I get to the door first, I will open it. I was taught thank you and please.
Equal pay? Well it depends. As far as a woman doing a man’s job…she can if she wants and get the same salary. BUT…I’m sure there are things that women (meaning me) wants a man to do. Yes, I can get the step stool and climb up to the top shelf, or opening a jar but if a man is there why should I. There’s something about a man doing things like that that I find attractive.
Oh young was I (before marriage) on a date. I excused myself in a restaurant to go to the ladies room, and my boyfriend at the time stood up. I looked at him and said, “where ya goin”, and it annoyed me when I had to keep looking for him while we walked down the street. He was changing sides to be on the curb.
As for rolling around a baby carriage, it’s fantastic that he knows enough to take care of his own child. My husband has never made a bottle (formula), or outfitted the boys. He has bathed both girls and both boys, and changed diapers. I will not wait in the car while a man comes around to open the door. Why bother, the faster I get out, the less wrinkled I’ll be. If he happens to come around because I’m digging in my bag for money for the Valet, then OK, but then the door opens, and I’m still digging, and he says, c’mon with a little edge. Games…well, if that’s what it’s called, then so be it. If he wants to pay, fine.
If he says “do you have 5 dollars, till I get to the bank and I do, then fine. I don’t(never)
Ask for the money back.. I work three blocks from my home, but I don’t like to go out without any money, so I’ll ask for two or three dollars, if he has no change, then I go to the ATM. Oh please Ms. Steinem don’t crack me over the head…I hand over my check.
Yes, my pay checks…the entire thing. It goes into the checking account. BUT if I want something, I go to the ATM and take what I need. Ducking again…I don’t pay the bills, I don’t want to be bothered. I screwed up big time my first year of marriage and he stuck out his hand, gave me that look, and I handed it over. My husband will whine when I call him to do something and then he says, “You just can’t stand to see me sit down while you’re running around, can’t you get the step ladder and get it yourself? When we put up the Christmas, I get up on the ladder to put the angel on and he holds my waist. I like that!
That was brief. Huh? I was wondering does spelling or grammar count? Really I know how, but isn’t this supposed to be informal like good friends where they know you know how, and it’s OK to not correct? I mean will I get thrown out of AD for not spell checking?
Anyone that sees this, please let me know. I’ll correct it anyway. But I might miss some, cause it’s late forgive please PS, Oh please someone send me mail, no one writes me Are you afraid, I might write a novel back?? LOL
