The Daisy Box
Today I opened a box that had been left in my office on the floor by my soon to be daughter in law. While going through the box I noticed that it even included eleven matching “Daisy” kitchen cabinet door knobs. I couldn’t believe it.
Now,thanks to her,had everything “Daisy” to adorn my newly remodeled kitchen.I had the Daisy curtains,canisters, a wall clock, table place mats, a three hook hanger for oven mitts, a three roll hanger for wrapping papers (aluminum foil–wax paper-saran wrap),a hanging Kitchen door welcome daisy plaque,Daisy potholders, a seasonings rack with Daisy shakers, Daisy coffee cups, cookie jar, paper towel holder, bread keeper, and she even included some Daisy wall paper borders. I would have never in all of my lifetime- thought to bring together all those components just to make sure someone had the perfect Daisy Kitchen.
Then it hit me. It really takes a lot of planning, imaging, and hard work to bring a room theme together. If a person can put that much forethought and work into designing the perfect room, shouldn’t every woman in her half way right mind want to do the same thing when it comes to having or maintain healthy relationships.
Fortunately the book "Whose Man Is This" by Kathy A. E. Jones, hits the nail on the head when the author states that:
“It appears to me that when it comes to having healthy relationships, the biggest obstacles men and women face are related to the information they allow to consistently come between their two ears and the amount of exposure they allow between their two legs. These two factors have a significant impact on how men and women relate to one another.”
Healthy relationships just don’t happen - they take time. Just as much time as you would give to getting that picture perfect room or gift. There needs to be more information coming into the head instead of just coming through the BED. They also require you to take an honest look at who you are and the essential things you need from a man. Understanding yourself and the makeup of any potential man is paramount.
