Spoiled Little Brats... 11/3/2004 5:27:57 PM
When a spoiled child doesn’t get their way, a fit often follows. Manipulation through guilt, name calling and unseemly behaviors are just a few of their often tried tactics. Spoiled children love making a scene. They are out of touch with reality. It is amazing how much attention one spoiled brat can garner in a public setting and how miserable that one child can make the moment for all those in close proximity. I feel sorry for the little brats of the world. They habitually live miserable lives, blinded to the causes of their own misery. Believing satisfaction comes through an external set of circumstances, pleasure is rarely theirs. Happiness will continue to escape them, until they engage the benefits of self control. Often, children know no better, simply mirroring the prevalent behaviors of those around them. One the other hand, adults should know better.
John Kerry’s concession to President Bush was honorable, hardly the actions of a spoiled child. He understood the inevitable and responded in the only principled way possible. Those who wanted his leadership should seize the opportunity and take his lead, avoiding the pitfalls of the spoiled brat. On the other hand, spoiled brats can be amusing, as long as they can be returned to their parents.
