War is evil, but it is often the lesser evil.
- George Orwell The fact that war is a terrible thing does not provide an excuse for pacifism. Sooner or later someone will come along with motives that include your destruction. They will come along with the ability to kill and they will kill. They are here. Our enemies love the American peace movement. They would certainly prefer to accomplish their goals without opposition. They would certainly love to kill as many Americans as possible without the threat of retaliation. Anyone who believes that our enemies would set aside their desire for our destruction if we would cease our military action is a fool. There is perhaps no glory in battle other than self preservation and the safety of those you love. Since the United States is viewed by many modern liberals as a wicked nation, they see nothing worth preserving. Perhaps they have nothing worth fighting for, but most Americans do. If you don’t like the American way, perhaps some of you should try the Taliban way or the Hussein method. Your opposition would be short lived. You would be killed.
