It's the day after Memorial Day. There have been only a few hits on my novels, short stories, and this blog site. The weather is dreary and chilly. I'm feeling down. Then I hear the garbage truck and realize the garbage man is here instead of yesterday because of the holiday. I forgot to get my two full garbage cans out to the curb as required if you want the the garbage picked up.

Damn. Too late, I'm still barefooted and slowed by the necessity of using a cane because of my ancient legs. I give up.
Then I see the garbage truck driver come into my yard, pick up the cans, empty them into his truck and return the cans to my yard.

He didn't have to do that. People still do a lot of things they aren't required to do. I'll bet something good like this has happened to you. I hope so. Maybe you would like to let me know about it.
