Being a guy who writes – however badly – I notice words. In a post Jun. 22 Jinx Schwartz mentioned the use of the word poppling to describe liquid bubbling over. An interesting, descriptive  word. On the same day Karen Meek used the word Liverpudlian to describe a resident of Liverpool. What a great word. I’d never heard it or seen it before. I’m happy to be an American yet – if I knew how to pronounce it – I would like to spring it on some of my friends: I’m a Liverpudlian.”

They would probably ask: Is that pud like in puddle or dud like in dude?
