Nick Bancroft, the protagonist in my detective novels, just won't stay out of my mind. "I see you're doing it again, Mister Author."
"Look Nick, I've told you before, you're just a fictional character. Stay out of my mind unless I ask. What am I doing again?"
"Writing another one of those Cyn Castle eroctic novels. You should be ashamed. You haven't paid any attention to me for a couple of weeks. What am I supposed to do while you get your jollies off writing that sexy stuff."
"Rest. Leave me alone. You don't seem to mind that sexy stuff when it involves you and Maggie."
"At least you sign your real name, Bob Liter, to the Nick Bankroft novels. Admit it. You're ashamed of that eroctic stuff or you wouldn't use a phony name, Cyn Castle, as the author. And they're available at the same place the Nick Bancroft novels are, fictionwise.com. I'd rather not be that closely associated with them."
"I won't tell if you don't. Now crawl back in your latest mystery and let me get on with this swimming pool scene."
"Tell me what happens."
"Ha, tell you hell. Buy the book like anyone else, if you want to know. Use your own money, too. As if you had any."
