In an earlier blog I explained how suspenders made it possible for me, an 84-year-old man, to be cool because they kept my pants from falling down.
Since I've been wearing suspenders I've learned something else. I'm not only a cool cat now but I'm a noticed cool cat.
The suspenders, by holding up my pants, make it possible for women to see my argyle socks. They seem to be impressed. And, of course, my black garters set everything else off. It's a picture hard to forget.
