Ack!
I was in a car wreck today at 2:00 p.m.
A man pulled out from a parking lot onto the street that I was coming down without looking!! I was a few feet from him when he started to pull out and I honked my horn. I couldn't swerve due to a curb on the right and a new truck waiting to make a left hand turn from the street into the parking lot.
Instead of getting out of my way, the driver stopped with teh front half of his car in the middle of the road and I ended up hitting him pretty hard.
The first words out of this guy's mouth "I don't have insurance."
The car wasn't his either, the 2000 Mazda was his son's and the son does not have insurance either! Man people, get insurance!!!!!!!!! Don't think that it will never happen to you because it does happen.
I was injured and my car is banged up pretty good. The other guy is OK. Then again, he didn't see me so he didn't know that there was going to be an impact...unlike me. I knew that we were going to hit and tensed up. The steering wheel cracked between my hands.
His car was towed away and he was arrested. So people --- Get insurance on your vehicles!! The television commercials aren't there just to scam you out of your money - you never know what is going to happen from one intersection to another... Especially if you are hit by someone who does not carry insurance, have uninsured motorists coverage!
It is always best to carry uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. I'm so thankful that I have it.
This is my little vent today because I am not happy. I am not happy one bit and I am in a bunch of pain. Wow - I am aggrivated beyond belief right now.
Become responsible people and dangit---LOOK BOTH WAYS!
