Life Continues Atop My Hill
It has been several pretty ordinary, quiet days.
We have seen a lovely black and white cat come shyly to eat food at the feeder, he is wary. May have been dropped, it takes a while for the dropped, abandoned critters to learn to trust.
He is a talky lad, I like talky cats. Panda and Little Bubba come in, eat a little and avoid Angelique. Angelique is a beautiful Asian Leopard Cat, larger than the housecat kids.
I think she has a home and only comes to eat and wreak a little havoc.
Thank goodness the baby raccoons have all learned the value of crossing the pasture quietly. I enjoy just watching a little group or two playing in the children's pool we use as a watering hole. Moms are all congenial, watch their babies, share the food with one another and noise is at a minimum.
Haven't heard a coyote for several nights. they will be back, but I am happy they have not been near for several days. Bubba and Panda need to get acclimated, find a safe place for night and not have to battle coyotes.
