Its Not Just Me

We have a certain pain in our heart—something that makes us feel inferior or even ashamed.  I can’t get it right.  I don’t measure up.  And we think it is just us.  I feel that way because I am not as much as I should be—not as pretty, not as smart, not as kind.  I need to be more to be loved.

And then we get in a quiet place with our sisters, after all the laughing and pretense is done, and we find that all of us have a break in our heart—somewhere.  We don’t want to go there.  We think it is a pain that must be borne alone.  And it is breaking us.  No just me—but us.  Our gender.  Our human race.  No one has a pristine soul.  We all need a Savior.

Its not just me.  And its not just you.  Together we are better.  Together we are more.  A three-fold cord is not easily broken, the wise man said. (Proverbs) God and us. Together. It is not just me—it is us—and together, we are enough.
