Redeeming Our Love for Christ 10/2/2008 4:46:04 AM
An Ode to Christ I wrote a long poem yesterday. It is somewhat of a odessy--though only forty-two lines. It speaks volumes about the depth, the richness, and the joy of a survivor's love for Christ. Between the lines, I have not left the horrors out that the abused child experienes--but that is not the focus of A Survivor's Ode to Jesus Christ.
To all my friends out in the den who have been there, I believe you will find comfort in the content I have shared. Many of you put words to the content of my heart at times, and I hope that I have done that for some of you today. Those of you who have managed to grow up without experiencing abuse, may find comfort you can pass along to loved ones who have been victimized by an abuser.
A Survivor's Ode will may give expression to the love of Christ, the hope of a future, and the joy of living in relationship with a Divine Parent who longs to draw us into His embrace and share His strength with us.
