I stand on a pinnacle in the range of life’s mountains and gaze back over the terrain I have left behind.  And it is beautiful.  Life is a lovely gift.

Those of you who know my history may raise your eyebrows.  Beautiful?  She must be in denial.  We know the tragedy and despair that marked the first thirty-three years of this gals life.  And recovery has been no piece of cake either.

True.  But look at the whole picture.  See how the dark shadows enhance the beauty of the mountains when the light hits it just right?  Did you notice that the contract between darkness and light add texture and meaning to those valleys between the peaks?

From where I stand, life is beautiful.
