America is at war -- civil war. 9/7/2005 9:23:58 PM
In case anyone hasn't noticed yet, this country is engaged in yet another war -- only this time, it's a civil war. And the opponents are the American people vs. the American government. And every time someone uncovers yet another death due to this disaster down in New Orleans, it's another sign that the government is beating us.
Spectacle is usually the opposite of substance.
Americans adore spectacle. And now we have what we deserve -- a Prez who is all about the photo-op and altogether lacking in substance.
Unfortunately for Mr. President, his sound-bites are far more revealing than his photo-ops.
