Language cannot file a claim for wrongful action, which is why we can all get away with murdering it so remorselessly.

Instead of watching the shopping channels on TV, I watch eBay online. No obnoxious, grating feminine voices to drive me crazy.
Yet even on eBay, my sanity is sometimes challenged. Here's my favorite language-mangling for today:
"Age unknown, but possibly somewhat older."
Ironically, that's exactly how I feel today, too.

P.S. to anyone who actually reads these ponderings: I just read through my maybe half-dozen blog entries thus far, and I'm embarrassed that there's such a focus on drugs (speed in particular), because it's a part of my recent life that I've put behind me in fact but am still processing. Especially the recovery part -- I'm still struggling with what I find to be inherent contradictions within the 12-Step Church.
I'm just too much of an agnostic.
So, here's my reduction of the 12 steps to recovery. I call it the Two-Step Dance:
1) Just keep doing the next right thing.
1a) If you're unsure about what that may be, ask someone you trust.
