THE LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY REVOLUTION - finding a capable surgeon in a rapidly advancing field Instead of the 'Fifty Things' manuscript (which is with an agent as we speak), I am completing a book on the impact of the laparoscopcic revolution on how we teach and practice surgery today. I've been working on this for some time and it should shed light on where there are holes in our surgical delivery system. It's a lot of background and explanation for why you have to be careful who does your surgery and where (which hospital). I've talked in some of my other blogs about these issues and they are very serious to keep in mind. The book should be out this year. Then, I hope to get out the more 'nuts and bolts' book on the 50 things you need to know if you're going to have an operation. Yes, there is some overlap between the two books. But, '50' is step-by-step advice whereas 'Revoluton' is more hisotry and precedent.
