Well, there is plenty of gruel to go around. So, I hadn't planned to write a blog today, but a lot has been going on as of late.
I've been struggling with the decision about Facebook and Twitter. I think I've decided to give up on Twitter. I haven't been posting there, and every time I've checked on it in the last week, there have been no notifications.
Furthermore, my follower count goes down each time I visit. Lastly, I strongly disagree with how Mr. Musk has been changing it. It's no longer fully free to access, and in my opinion, that is the wrong path.
With Facebook, though, I'm more reluctant to leave. Memistry, my meme page, was the beginning of my meme journey. It's been getting a steady flow of new followers, recently going over 800.
I don't use FB other than the meme page, and to post in certain writing groups about my work.
I have moved to other social media, though. I'm on Mastodon and Metapixl, both of which are on what's called the Fediverse.
Not the name I would've chosen, but it's a conglomerate of different social media that are open source, privately owned, and are comprised of several instances that utilize the same source code.
It's a bit confusing, and I'm still learning about it myself. So far, I am enjoying both. I'm already getting more engagement on Mastodon with twenty-four followers than I do on Twitter with nearly 4,000.
Other than that, I have been doing some writing. I'm working on episode four of Time Quest, and I've been getting the itch to start working on book two of The Creation of Xyphus. I also posted another chapter in my meme book on Wattpad, as well as another custom Magic: The Gathering set titled, Dusk.
Lastly, I want to thank you all for over 4,000 pageviews. I almost can't believe it.
