Don't bank on this. Hello Everyone. If you're expecting a belated prank, sorry to disappoint. Without the intention, my pranks and silly games like zots end up hurting people. Do you remember zots? The little folded pieces of paper you would shoot with a rubber band stretched between your thumb and forefinger? Yeah, the first time and only time I played it, I gave a kid a welt on his upper eyelid. Unintentionally, of course, but it would be the first of many instances like it.
In case you're unaware, the world is in a financial crisis. Even before I knew about the fractional reserve banking system, I understood that a system based on debt wouldn't last. I know that I never agreed for them to take 90% of my money to do with whatever they wish, with no guarantee that it would be there when I need it.
Yes, I know the FDIC insures up to $250,000, and that, that would have never applied to me, but it could have, and may still. However, for the people that matter in the financial sector, that is mere pittance. This financial system is on thin ice, and the powers that be are like an amateur figure skater about to attempt their first triple salchow. Do you think they're going to land it? Will the ice hold even if they do?
It's not looking pretty, and there will no forewarning of a collapse, if it comes to that. So many people think that inflation is about prices going up, when it actually refers to the amount of fiat currency currently in circulation. Price hikes are a result of this, and they're not going to stop any time soon.
I know this is a more serious blog, but this is an endemic problem that they only seem to want to make worse. It makes my wife and I want to get to homesteading even sooner. It's all reminding me of that commercial with the balding guy on the riding lawnmower who goes, "I'm in debt up to my eyeballs!"
Lastly, I did have a relaxing birthday, despite having to go get a bail of hay for the guinea pigs. We binged 1923, which is a sequel to 1883, both of which I highly suggest watching.
