I was inspired to write this poem after a watched the movie "sunshine". Briefly, it is the story of Europe for the last century, and I lived thru some of it.
The Truth
In a world full of fake things:
Fake faces,
Fake bodies,
Fake feelings,
Fake happy endings
When you came across the real thing
You have to recognize it
To stop and feel it
To marvel at it
And refresh your soul
Be it joy,
Or sadness
A feeling that you are accustomed with
That you had lived through
Then, you have to stop and recognize it
For what it is:
The Truth.
