Jack, it's been a while, but I'm glad to be reading you again! Your poem touches all four seasons with grace.
I've written a few lately about the seasons..but I'll give this some consideration and see what falls from my feeble little mind. I'm still working on Sherry's challenge..lol..because of the multitude of words with hers though, I've decided on a short story for it.

I liked the way you integrated all 4 seasons into a single poem. You have provided a pleasant read. Like you, I too enjoy the less complicated, pleasing style of writing.
Regarding your challenge.... I wrote and posted one recently called Seasons, another called Prelude to Winter, and a last one called The Trail.. Do they count or do I have to start over.. <LOL>
Hi Jack..I already wrote a fall poem called "Awe of Autumn" I will try to write another one that touches on all the seasons. This poem is awesome, by the way. I always love your poems and, of course, I love it when they rhyme.

I, like you, love the change of seasons!!! I am glad I live in a part of our planet where I get to experience all 4! I believe they each touch a part of our innner spirit, and we respond according to our inner heartbeat and circumstance. We are elemental......and part of this earth...you know, like in the Lion King....lol.....the circle of life. LOL......(You can tell I spend alot of time with little kids lol) Roarrrrrrrrr
Your poem.............
You've painted an accurate and gentle word picture with your poetry my friend. With your pleasing, down to earth style. I envisioned the ripening tomatoes in a back yard garden, fenced........to keep Bambi, and Thumper out! With robins chirping.....and everyone twitterpated......(remember what that one means) LOL......I've enjoyed this Woodpecker..........as always you are a delight!!!
And as for your challenge.......I wrote one recently and posted it......about the seasons.......
called.........SEASONS BEST.......(can we count that one??)
