A Raging Fire

as long as fuel is added and the flames are fanned, a fire will forever burn.





A Raging Fire


The fuel is in abundance
With air that is required
And now it only takes a spark
To start a raging fire

A fuel so formed of thoughts and views
Expressed in certain ways
Logs stacking ever higher
Word by word and day by day

And then upon the stack
A word is thrown of different view
In striking cast a spark
That ignites the stack of fuel

And as the fire begins to burn
It cast a certain glow
Attracting other bearers of fuel
To have their feelings known

And then it isn’t long
Though the bearers seem not know
They’ve together built a fire
That now burns beyond control

Now the heat too much to bear
The bearers run away
Leaving only ash and rubble
Of what was home just yesterday

Perhaps if eyes were opened
And site not blurred by pride
We all would see that without fuel
A fire will surly die.

Much wisdom in this Jack, that's why my present poem and blog are the last I will say to defend my position. I'll let others burn themselves out. I made the mistake of trying to reason , but when minds are made up there is no such thing.Thank you for this exceptional poem it is truly awesome!

You are right Jack this is a good poem, fires are fueled with things behind the scenes you and others don't see. The rhyme and flow of your poem is wonderful.
