“Dad”

So many are the memories
From my childhood of you
The times we spent together
And the little things we’d do

Its funny how a memory
Takes you back into the past
And even though those times are gone
Those memories still last

I look back and see you fishing
On the river we’d go to
And wonder if my kids can see in me
The things I see in you

These memories of you are among
The greatest ones I’ve had
These forever cherished memories
Of the man that I call “Dad”
