I have posted this to introduce a new poet into the Den. Her name is Kelly Bliven and she is a very good friend of mine. It warms my heart that her first poem was about me, and I wanted to share it with the Den, let her know what you think. Thank you Kelly, I am honored.
Some people have no problem
As they sit their pen to paper
Their words just seem to blossom
And sends to ones mind- a picture
A canvas drenched in color
Welded by a single word
The exciting adventures they conjure
Leave us dreams to other worlds
Writers and the poets
They give us a world away
Drawing with a word- a portrait
Penning our dreams astray
They can pen a beautiful picture
Just as canvas painters do
When they sit their pen to paper
And build a dream for me and you.

You have, indeed, been honored, Jack.. but then, that just seems appropriate to me.. you have honored so many yourself with your sweet thoughts and lovely words/rhymes.. Go get 'em, Kelly.. you have a wonderful friend! katy.
