Poets, like artists and people in general have many sides and, when a family develops through such deep words, thoughts and feelings the negative aspects will show along with the positive. That is what makes us all real. I agree with your wisdom in this wonderful poem, but I can also understand why the flares will appear.

I agree Jack . I will do my part. Sorry to have been involved, but I just hope you are not next on his list to be targeted, although he rarely attacks men.He has been asked by the managment to delete the articles with my names in them. He wouldn't do it, but now I see that he has and is here under another of his names again.

Good write and I hope it will be so but controversy is a part of life it seems and a part of free speech, however it's gone a bit beyond that in some cases. Well penned, Jack.

Good poem, good message,and good way to look at the truth. I believe there are enough real people here at AD to keep the site alive and well. I'm sorry for those good poets who feel they must leave.

Controversy is life, for better or for worse. Spring is enroute and some can only write as time allows . . . like me. Your poem did wake me up though that I ought to read, talk and thank others more.
(Currently I'm trying to home-school Doogie until he can attend school again.)

I'm with you, Jack. I have anxious trepidations, now, sadly wishing I could mediate or help in some way, I've hardly penned a word in the last two weeks...and some of my friends have left... Strong write, sad subject.

Yes, it's true! Life is just too complicated as it is, there is so much sadness around us; but I noticed that at this time people take out their sadness and frustration on each other, and I think this is wrong. However, I also agree with Elizabeth, when the frustration and the madness is gone, this too shall pass.
