Yes you have told it well here. I once was a victim of the easy charge card. I smartened up in time and cut up every plastic card I owned. Today I don't have as much as I could have but everything I've got is paid for and I have many banks and others offering me plastic cards. I did find out that if you don't have certain plastic cards you are considered a poor credit risk, which is ok in my world but might be a problem for the working poor.

Oregon has the highest unemployement in the nation yet many are 'charging' what they cannot afford in hopes that they can find a job. As a result, foreclosures abound. So many have no concept of 'saving' or 'waiting' . . . you said it well-instant gratification is a problem!

Wise words Jack. I remember as a kid my Mum would say..."don't put your fingers in the cocky cage, he bites" I always did, and that bloody Galah made my finger bleed many a time...I guess in the end I got it. Thanks, Dani
