The Poets Heart

Countless are the feelings
Held within the poets heart
At times the feelings turn to words
Down in the deepest part

And when the feelings get too strong
A magic happens then
The words start flowing from the heart
Into the poets pen

And when the words fall to the page
And flow in magic rhyme
The thoughts of him that holds the pen
Will live throughout all time

I saw this a few days ago and had no idea how to review it. Your work is fine. I love they way your mind works. Exquisite poetry. This is truly what a poet's heart bleeds. Good poetry does not need a million words and sometimes less is more. This is the case right here.

Thank You,
Emilie

I hope so, Jack, that is what I am counting on for the me-ness of immortality, my heart turned inside out for the future to read. Lovely, almost haunting piece creating a sense of melancholy. :)

Jack: It is amazing how emotions completely affect our writing. I usually LOL when I'm writing humor and I cry when writing something very sad. This is an accurate portrayal of the poet's heart and certainly well-expressed.
