"You and night and I know"

Poem Artwork

Come Night

Some days plod forever
Some trip lightly by
Fast or slow I never
Could understand why
Yet each day wends its way
At just its own pace
Until another day
Arrives in its place

I choose the nights between
Them in any case
The lights by which I see
You know what I mean
You and night and I know
Night is and will always be
A flow not fast nor slow
The best time of day to me

Come night until another day
Arrives next morning: come and play

A sweet invitation and I agree Stevie, the night is a special time. Love and peace,

Unigue and unusual looke at life as the modem to transport one through time such as from night to day. Often the dark of night seems comforting and in this case safer then that of the glare of daylight. Interesting Steve.

You know something, Steve. Sometimes the day seems long and dreary. Sometimes the night does too. Miserable by day, can't sleep at night. Sigh! Other times the day is quick and I sleep through the night. But as I look back they all seemed to have gone by too quickly. I guess it is only a matter of perspective. Anyway, a beautiful write there.
God Bless,
Lew
