"I only hope this time you can forgive"

Poem Artwork

3:53

I was what I was what is done is done
But how I hate to disappoint my son!

A slow dance with death at 3:53
In the morning he will most likely be
Disappointed even angry with me
When he finds out I had to leave somehow
I failed him once now fail him once again

The distance between life and death is now

I tried to but I could never explain
Now orphaned like me perhaps you can see
How it is to get to be fifty-two
Life sheer and mere disappointment and pain
To break deep enough for both me and you

I was what I was but was never free

A second time I leave you at the door
Afraid to die but unable to live
Like then I cannot be me anymore
I only hope this time you can forgive

Sad a write, not like you at all. Glad you thought and asked for forgiveness. It was not meant to be. outstanding write though. Know many who are going through this and some don't succeed in chasing away the fears. They leave such misery behind for their loved ones to go through. Suicide isn't meant to be. If only they had someone to set them straight. You love life and know God, so this is just prose.

Great write Steven with a V! And I hope Felix is just looking into your write just a little bit too much!
"3:53" actually can be anyone out there...with a time, a place, a need to take their own life from what ever they feel haunts them to desire such an act. Suicide is stupid, but it is also undetectable by the one who is... I read this and see someone who is blaming themselves and feeling like they have to blame others too and thoughtlessly taking it upon themselves to say, Oh well, I'm sorry but...
Life isn't easy for anyone and harder for those left behind in regards to such an ordeal. I have read that it can also be repeated in generations too... Not sure how valid that is, but I have heard it runs full circle if you let it!
Write another poem just to let Felix sleep, wouldya!
Smiles to you!
Love and Peace~
Kimmy~
