As the smoking flesh of sacrificed beasts Brings bloodlust satiety to the feasts Of the overwrought overweight and fraught Lamenters of their frustrations and ills I wait head-down invisible as taught
As angry obesities pay their bills Complaining of chicken-fried steaks they bought And wondering if they forgot their pills I wait to see someone who waits for me While wondering what we are waiting for
And if they have found their satiety Why do these people keep looking for more? Their eyes are hungry wily and wary
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
