No stranger to pain myself it seems odd
That being hurt or hurting should seem fun
To friends and lovers or to anyone

I hear much less of Masoch than of Sade
But find a bit of both in everyone
And rather more of Satan than of God

Some have a little more of one I guess
Than the other yet neither pleases me

Without much experience to confess
And not quite sure what to be pleased might be
With little to go on I must admit

I wonder could I get the hang of it
Or are some things just better left unknown
To neither hurt nor hurting sleep alone?
