"As I happen somehow"

Unreturnable Now It hurts to lose a cat But it hurts enough that I never need to have a cat again To lose It hurts to lose a wife And hurts to find a life But nothing is more pleasant than the pain I choose My past futility Future utility Now nothing but the present I remain To use The soil of tomorrow is the corpse of yesterday As I happen somehow And I will bud to bloom here if only for today Unreturnable now +Steven Curtis Lance Copyright MMVIII

This an excellent poem, but I'll admit, you're very first line cut me life a knife. i know that's not what the poem is all about, but I just lost my cat of sixteen years. Beautifully written and inspirational.
