The salient feature of the family
I grew up in was something like resentment
There was much to be resented heaven knows
And I have always feared the presentiment
Of getting to be like them ultimately
Since even in a vacuum resentment grows
Along with everything else as we expand
In spite of this blood curse I resent nothing
My supply is only equal to demand
I cannot afford to resent anything
