A Question Answered Yes In the contention between love and fear That dialectic driving human lives Love always wins though sometimes the hard way Is the only way to win around here Like Jesus for example but he won At the end sometimes is the place we start Sometimes we have to bear a curse to bless A thing well done as something well begun When our victory is what fear cannot see And the purity of the heart of love The altruistic essence of its flame Is the part of it I am proudest of A quest without hate or anger or blame Without limitation intrinsic to Itself as it soars though it crashes too And if it crashes still we know its heart Pure with its ultimate victory sure Another of us aspiring to be free Who since we have known fear now understand Love is a question and not a demand And more than anything a statement of Acceptance open to embrace to say: I care about you as I care for me To share the universe with hand to hand To live love on the breath of victory And to be here when the answer arrives When the quest becomes a question answered yes +Steven Curtis Lance Copyright MMX
