"Let my voice be fire and my word be flame"

In a Life Loved in a Circle We come and we go without ever really knowing What is going on what with the coming and the going The action of it all if downward like a leaf in fall We go with what is coming what with all the overcoming We have to do before we are ourselves overcome But it can feel like flying through the doing and the trying When it all comes together in the living and the dying Then as always our desire though falling to rise higher As the way it has to be and this is how it was for me Looking for some happiness when happily I found some Let my voice be fire and my word be flame And then when I die let them not forget my name But more than that remember me as someone who Found trying to be happy was the hardest thing to do And in the end I simply was because I was one who Simply wanted to be happy more than anything like you Got it better late than never and have never been the same After looking for happiness I found it finding me After trying doing coming going through it all because It was with me all along the way down from the tree I tried so hard for happiness like you like anyone But when I stopped trying to find it there it was And when I stopped trying to do it I was too In a life loved in a circle when the ending has begun Let my voice lift like the light then my word warm like the sun +Steven Curtis Lance Copyright MMXI
