Other Brother Out among the silvery stars Our other brother rusty Mars Offers an untwinkling inkling Of other less familiar than our familiar moon An other other than that one another of our night Far enough away but parallel enough to be A light in his own rusty right Our other brother mystery At his own time and place but our sibling out in space With an earthily familiar yet an otherworldly grace Though I know almost nothing about astronomy And found what I know on the ground Fallen like me but rising soon Of other less familiar than our familiar moon For now from down here this is how up would appear to me Appearing like our other brother like rusty Mars Not out so much as in among the silvery stars +Steven Curtis Lance Copyright MMXI
